Dr. Weinstein received her B.S. degree from Pennsylvania State University and her M.D. degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania. She served an internship at Albert Einstein Medical Center and a radiology residency at Temple University in Philadelphia. She was an Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of Pittsburgh and later served as Director of the Radiology Residency Program at St. Francis Medical Center.
Dr. Weinstein has published numerous articles and book chapters on topics in ultrasound and has been on the faculty of many local and national ultrasound courses. She has been active in the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, serving on numerous committees and has been a board member as well as treasurer of that organization. She has also sat on the board of the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology, and has been named a Fellow of both the American College of Radiology and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. Dr. Weinstein also was a Mammography Film Reviewer for the American College of Radiology. She was with this practice from 1988 until her retirement in June 2005.
