Dr. Michelle Straka earned her B.S. degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from The Pennsylvania State University and her M.D. degree from Georgetown University. She performed her first two years of radiology residency at Georgetown University Medical Center and completed her residency at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital. This was followed by a subspecialty fellowship in Women’s Imaging, which included Mammography, Ultrasound, and MRI, at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology.
Her professional memberships include the American College of Radiology, American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, Radiological Society of North America, Pennsylvania Radiological Society, and Allegheny County Medical Society. She is active in the local women’s imaging community. Prior to joining this practice in 2002, she was a staff Radiologist at St. Clair Hospital and at UPMC Southside, where she served as Director of Breast Imaging.
